Vintage Indian Sacred Hindu Home Wooden Shrine Temple Altar Hanging Arched Puja

  
A beautiful home temple/shrine that was sourced in Rajasthan, probably dating from the early part of the 19th century, not an easy piece to find. It would have been part of a larger piece in a grand mansion or heveli.

Made from tropical hardwood, it has remnants of its original paint, it has a very well worn used patina that has taken many years to build up, it has been left in its as found condition. It has a fixing bracket attached to the rear so it can be hung or it could simply be used as free standing. Approx 25.5cm wide x 11.5cm deep x 27cm high, it weighs 3.55kgs.
