Highly unusual, antique Indian architectural salvage. A particularly large, highly decorative framed door with a w onderful reverse glass painting of Krishna in Vrindavan, Mathura. Inset into the front panel. R epurposed with a mirror behind. Seminal Art Deco detailing to the uprights picked out in white, ceramic frieze to top pelmet. One of a pair, the second of another Hindu deity, Durga available in a separate listing. This substantial antique, a highly decorated framed door, started life Rajasthan. One of a pair featuring reverse glass paintings of much revered Hindu deities, reclaimed from architectural salvage, made from the tropical hardwood teak and recently re-purposed with the addition of a mirror to the rear, it makes a great decorative statement. In a previous incarnation, it would have graced the walls of a grand early 20th c.
