Vintage Indian Elephant Scuplted Columns, A Pair. Moulded Resin On Marble Base

  
A pair of vintage sculpted statues of Indian elephants perched on top of highly elaborate carved columns. Moulded resin on marble, or perhaps alabaster, bases. These highly decorative artefacts originated in the Indian subcontinent. Evidence of old labels now removed from the bevelled edged bases suggesting they have some age on their side.

The elephants are embellished with ceremonial attire across their backs. The columns decorated with exotic floral motifs, and a mixture of Ionic and Corinthian Greek column detailing to the top.
