Vintage heavily carved Indian Damchiya marriage cabinet console table. Dramatically hand carved teak dowry chest Damchiya is in its original unpolished condition. Chip carved and embellished with small mirrors typical of this area of Kutch. It has 2 finials to the rectangular top the panelled front carved with geometric motifs and a carved central latched door. The chest which was used as a dowry box hence so much detail to the front and has lots of history and patina.
