A vintage 1930s teapot from India where it was hand-hammered on copper which displays time's patina. This teapot adopts a pleasant pyramid shape with a long spout and an iron riveted handle. The round handle of the conic lid is tied to the handle thanks to a metal chain. The whole item was hand-hammered on copper, showcasing the great hammered metal mastery of Indian craftsmen. The copper features a great patina that reflects its age.
This Indian circa 1930s hand-hammered copper teapot with patina would add a rustic and exotic touch to most homes. At some point in the life of this kettle there were some modifications made as shown in pictures. The handle was modified to be pulled directly out of the fire and not lifted up.
The spout was modified to not leak easily when tilted. This is a really interesting vintage piece with a history.
