Heavy Vintage Etched Indian Brass Tray Depicting Hindu Mother Goddess Maa Durga

  

Here we have a quality Indian brass tray or wall plaque. This piece comes decorated wonderfully with an etched pictorial design. It depicts scrolled leaves and foliage surrounding people which I would think are associated with Hinduism. To the centre is the mother goddess "Durga" on a lion who is associated with protection, strength, motherhood, destruction and wars.

Unknown maker - I haven't spotted any makers marks. The photos don't do this justice whatsoever. Mounted on the wall in any room as a decorative piece of wall art. Perfect piece for an interior designer or the Indian inspired home. It's a thick gauge brass which measures approximately 13.75 inches by 7.75 inches weighing a little over 750g's.
