Antique Vintage Indian Shuttered Window Mirror. Distressed Two-tone Lilac & Teal

A large shuttered window repurposed as a mirror and f inished in a distressed two-tone lilac and teal. Originally an integral part of a haveli, a wealthy merchant's mansion. Finished in a distressed two-tone lilac and teal, edges in waxed teak and retaining its original painted door furniture , it certainly has considerable age on its side.

As such it would add a touch of Bombay chic to any room in a contemporary interior. Turning your des res into a desi resi, as it were.

Shuttered mirrors also look the part hung outside in a garden setting against a distressed wall draped in a creeping clematis, or similar. When left open in a garden setting, the reflection suggests a secret garden beyond. Don't forget, as shuttered windows, they've already spent decades open to the elements. Recently reglazed, wooden surface lightly waxed.
