These exquisite early 19th century versions in Indian sandstone have been reclaimed from the same architectural salvage project in the blue city of Jodhpur, Rajasthan, with remants of cobalt blue to the surface to prove it. In their previous incarnation, they would have graced the exterior of a haveli, or grand mansion, and been an intergral part of the fabric of the building. Today, they will add a touch of Bombay chic to any contemporary interior when displayed as a piece of art, in much the same way one hangs a picture.
