This is a really nice piece, salvaged from Rajasthan, I think it would have originally been over laid with thin white metal sheet and that is why there are lots of small pin holes all over the face of the wood, it depicts an Indian character standing in amongst flowers and brickwork, dates from the late 19th century, the wood is in excellent condition as it has been protected by the white metal over lay for many years. A modern hanging bracket has been affixed to the back so that it can be hung on the wall, a truly magnificent piece of India. It measures 45cm high x 25.5cm wide x 1.5cm thick and weighs 1.1kgs. 1 of 2 listed at the moment.
