Vintage 1940's Block Printed Persian Kalamkari Paisley Cloth Wall Hanging Indian

Hello and welcome to the Textile Trunk! A charming vintage Persian or perhaps Indian Kalamkari, dating to the 1940s or perhaps a bit earlier? This piece was hand block printed on a gauzy light to medium weight cotton with a wonderful paisley floral design. The ground is a beige off-white tone and the pattern is in brown, green, yellow and charcoal tones. There is a hand stitched center seam, which makes me think this could be earlier than the 1940s, but I cannot be sure! This textile is ideal for a hanging, tablecloth, bed cover, light upholstery, curtains, clothing, scarves, etc! MEASUREMENTS : This charming textile measures 89 inches by 110 inches. CONDITION: This textile is in as found, not laundered condition. This textile is musty and has probably never been washed! It can be washed on cold and hung to dry, however I've left it in as found, unwashed condition for collectors.

There are some small pale marks that may not fully wash. There are some small sections where the seam has opened along the center seam and some small holes in the edges. Unwashed condition reflected in the price.
