Superbly carved large vintage Anglo Indian jewellery box in dark polished sandalwood , the box features deeply carved foliage, flora and small birds. The interior of the box is fitted in shades of sage green and has a lift out tray with a ring holder and central lidded section with sage green satin padded lid and pearlised handle there is a generous storage area below this in matching colour.

The under lid liner is in deep padded diamond tufted sage green satin with complimentary gold studding. The box also has its fully working original lock and tasseled key and is finished with traditional green burlap at the base. The measurements are 31 x 20.5 x11.5 cm approximately.
